PMES Batch 3
In our continuing membership campaign, Agro-Harvesters MPC (AHMPC) conducted another Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) last November 13, 2010 from 10am to 4pm at Dulang Restaurant in Angeles City, Pampanga. Around twenty GH Tree Owners attended the seminar. Ms. Wilma Siazon, a former marketing director of GH helped organized the PMES. The PMES Team was composed of Corazon Mabagos (AHMPC Vice-Chairperson), Prof. Al Fontamillas (AHPMC Director), Allan Tura (AHMPC Secretary) and Ms. Josie Pillarina (AHMPC Treasurer)

DOST Technical Team Visits GH Orchard
As part of its thrust to establish other productive activities for Agro-Harvesters Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AHMPC), AHMPC coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology for technical assistance in food processing and water treatment and bottling facilities in the Orchard. AHMPC identified other business ventures for the cooperative while waiting for the fruiting stage of the mango trees. The said business ventures were initially agreed by GH management and AHMPC to jointly explore other resources in the area for productive use.
The highlight of their visit to the Orchard (last September 9, 2010) was to conduct a Technical Assessment of the proposed site of the AHMPC planned Food Processing Plant and the Water Purification and Treatment Plant (using the state of the art technology to transform the fresh mountain spring water into an ozonized water wherein once used it can removed bacteria, viruses, and all other waterborne decreases up to 98%. Thus, if taken as a drinking water it kills the bacteria and viruses right there in the body of any human being).
The assessment included the sight investigation of the water source and water tank, the velocity of water flowing from the mountain and the volume of water it can supply to be able to meet the water requirements of the water processing and treatment plant as well as the for the putting up of a mini-hydro electric plant in the area.
Initial findings of the team reveal a very high promising success for the project identified.

Agro MPC Launches its Membership Campaign
The Agro-Harvesters Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AHMPC) launched its membership campaign on two occasions. One was held in July 24, 2010 at the Conference Room of Sailors' Inn in Intramuross, Manila and the other one was in Juro's Restaurant, Lukban, Quezon last October 2, 2010. It may be mentioned that capability building for cooperative after its incorporation relies heavily on its members' support thus a Pre-Membership Cooperative Education Seminar (PMES) is required by law for those who wanted to join a cooperative.
AHMPC's membership is open for all Good Harvest Tree Owners, individual and institutional. On these occasions AHMPC's PMES Team was composed of AHMPC's Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, Ms. Erlinda Duque and Professor Corazon Mabagos respectively. They were assisted by Director Al Fontamillas, AHMPC Treasurer Josie Pillarina, AHMPC Cooperative Secretary Allan Tura and a representative from the Cooperative Development Authority, Ms. Sally Trinanes.
Last Sept. 24, 2010 an orientation about Agro MPC was conducted for the benefit of the OFW GH Tree Owners in Dubai. AHMPC member, Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Meddie Gamboa gave the orientation. The assembly was held in Caravan Family Restaurant in Hamrain Center, Murraqabat (Adjacent to JW Marriot Hotel), DUBAI.
